  • Email security from GFI tops the charts at Luxembourg's radio 100,7

Radio 100,7, a state-sponsored radio in Luxembourg, relies on GFI MailEssentials for Exchange/SMTP and GFI MailSecurity for Exchange/SMTP to block email spam, viruses, exploits and threats at server level, before these can be distributed to its users. Both these products also help the organization to drastically reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO) of its IT infrastructure. Details are featured in a new case study issued by GFI.

  • GFI FAXmaker named Product of the Year 2003 by Communications Solutions Magazine

GFI announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC)'s Communications Solutions Magazine has named GFI FAXmaker for Networks/SMTP 11 as a Product of the Year winner for 2003. Communications Solutions is a premier Web publication and newsletter in the communications industry.

  • The Novarg virus can be caught by GFI's gateway-level Trojan scanner BEFORE antivirus vendors release updates against it

Novarg (also known as Mydoom and Mimail.R), the latest email virus to threaten the security of networks worldwide, highlights yet again that it is not enough to rely on antivirus protection alone. The time it takes for antivirus vendors to discover a virus and issue an update against a new virus is too long and allows ample room for infection and distribution. GFI's Trojan and Executable Scanner, on the other hand, catches Novarg and other new viruses immediately - before their signatures are issued.

  • Leicester City Football Club strikes winning goal against email threats

Leicester City FC, an English Premiership football club, struggled to maintain secure network management practices until it discovered the email security tools offered by GFI. The club now enjoys a secure network environment, free of email viruses, threats and spam, through the deployment of the GFI MailSecurity and GFI MailEssentials bundle, which provides email content security and anti-spam protection for Exchange Server and other SMTP mail servers. Details are featured in a new case study issued by GFI.

  • GFI releases freeware version of GFI Network Server Monitor

GFI is launching a freeware version of GFI Network Server Monitor, its new tool that automatically monitors the network and servers for failures, and allows administrators to identify and fix issues before users report them. The freeware version allows HTTP/HTTPS and ICMP/ping checks to be configured. The HTTP check can be used to check availability of HTTP and HTTPS sites and check whether the correct web content is being served up. The ICMP/ping function monitors whether a particular server is still responding.
